Biodiversity is a new dimension to modern human culture, we used to think it was much smaller, much less important and that we somehow stood outside it, with the privilege to look detached from, in on the rest of creation. But more and more it looks like we are much more a part of it, much more dependent on it and much on the mercy of it, than most ( modern ) people ever imagined. But at the same time biodiversity, the richness of lifeforms and creatures living on Earth disappear faster than we humans have ever witnessed before
